This is the solo album of the beatmaker who brought to you Float by Aesop Rock. This instrumental LP is a little short, and has heavy tendancies toward melodic music. Everything here is so fluid that it's hard to imagine that you're listening to sampled music.

Take "Change" for example, with its bass line and its saxophone sample, or "Cent" with its blues guitar… Perfect examples of a retro esthetism. And even if we wait in vain for Aesop to come and rip out the track, eventually Blockhead's Broke Beats gives you the same pleasure as a long-forgotten soul record.
